A garment should be edible before it is wearable. The skirt begins as a single flat circle — four petals cut from one round pattern, folded until the fabric forgets it was ever flat and remembers instead the shape of a bloom, a bonbon, a ganache dome cooling on a marble slab.

Nothing here is decorated after the fact. The drips are structural: red beading threaded straight through the hem like syrup caught mid-fall, frozen before it reaches the floor. The petals are padded, not printed — volume built as a chocolatier builds a shell, layer by layer, testing how much filling a fold can hold before it collapses.

Wonka's factory never explained itself either. A door was a door until it opened onto a river; a pattern is a pattern until it opens onto a skirt that argues with gravity. The proof is not in the concept — it is in the four parts that finally held their circle.
